Most partnerships teams and, even more often, their C—suite & Boards are thinking about partnerships incorrectly.

 

Partnerships is not just a team, or a revenue channel.

 

Among other things, partnerships can:

 

— Build credibility (Brand)

 

— Reduce acquisition costs (Marketing)

 

— Grow your audience (Marketing)

 

— Shorten sales cycles (Sales)

 

— Increase deal value (Sales)

 

— Increase win rates (Sales)

 

— Increase CLTV (Success)

 

— Reduce churn (Success)

 

— Fill functional gaps (Product)

 

If you’re a partnerships leader and you’re not talking about, or more importantly MEASURING, these things OR if you’re in the C—suite or Board and not thinking about how to leverage partnerships in all of these ways and more, you’re doing yourself and your business a great disservice.
